Double Layer Ceiling Insulation R6.6 Retro Fit

From a poorly insulated ceiling we installed a double layer of batts to reach modern ceiling R value standards for new builds in an old house. Double layer options held reduce areas where single layers miss, providing a complete blanket that keeps the home's temperature regulated year round.
It's not an easy job though! Done during the summer, temperatures in the ceiling reached 41 degrees! So glad to have installed a buffer that stops these massive swings in attic temperature affecting the comfort in the home.
