Foil underfloor insulation has been outlawed as of 2016 (NZECP 55:2016)

Much of the previously installed foil insulation is damaged and ineffective! It can also be a electric issue.

Before reinstalling new insulation it must be removed.

Underfloor insulation is required to pass Healthy Home Standards. Minimum requirements include a R rating of R1.3.

We recommend R1.8 for most installs, as the increase in price is negligible and price of install identical.
