Freight Prices to Waiheke Island
Freight varies depending on the product chosen and the volume of insulation required for your project. Highly compressible products (such as fiberglass batts, ceiling and underfloor blankets etc) are much cheaper to transport. Polystyrene and foam board insulation on the other hand can run a bit higher.
What can you expect to pay?
For an average size build of 100-150m2 floor plan, highly compressible materials will run about $400 in freight. Non-compressible products will run closer to $1500! It's important to think about the type of material you'll be using on your build in the planning stage to save cost down the line on freight.
Our Insulation Strategy for Q4
Island Insulation wants to give the builders a break, they want to be at the beach sipping an ice cold beer not fighting with itchy and sticky fiberglass this summer! We're pricing to make it worth their while to subcontract the insulation for their builds, and that means benefits to homeowners as well.
With labor running close to $100 an hour for a builder to install insulation, it's much more worthwhile to get us in for a fraction of the cost.
